How to Improve Your Shooting Power
Powerful shooting comes from technique, not just strength. Plant your non-kicking foot beside the ball, pointing at the target, and keep your body slightly over the ball for dip. Strike with the laces of your boot for maximum force, locking your ankle on contact. Swing the kicking leg through the ball rather than at it, and follow through toward the target. Train with both feet, and practise striking from distance against a wall to build repeatable mechanics. Core and hip strength add velocity, so include rotational exercises. Above all, repetition under fatigue builds the muscle memory that delivers power in matches when you are tired.
